February/March 2024Another Thing to Know

If it's Tuesday, it must Be Brunswick... Maryland

Behold the schedule. Four events on pub date alone. That's four events in four different zip codes, three different area codes, two states, one on either side of the Mason-Dixon line. Four events, two with independent book stores, one with Barnes & Noble and a fourth at a public library. I am all things to all people. If I could have gotten my finance committee up and running, I probably would be campaigning for the presidency right now. Instead, all I'm asking is that you buy a book. Preferably ANOTHER THING TO FALL, but buying books is, in general, a habit I want to encourage. Linda Fairstein's new novel goes on sale the same day as mine (oh dear). Richard Price's Lush Life goes on sale the week before. (I'm doomed.) The paperback of WHAT THE DEAD KNOW is available by Feb. 26th. (Consider a Valentine's Day voucher or IOU. Trust me, those are always popular. Women love vouchers.)

Seriously, I'll keep this schedule up for through April, while blogging about the tour over at The Memory Project. It would be lovely to see familiar faces on the road, or get a chance to meet the faces attached to those who email and post regularly at the blog.

Here are a few quick links for those who might have missed them: Publisher's Weekly checks in, with the editor-in-chief herself doing the interview; the Hoyden gets me, bless her; "Hardly Knew Her" was nominated for an EdgarŽ for best short story; Linda Emond was nominated for an Audie for her performance on WHAT THE DEAD KNOW.
